Against even more expectations, I made it to Viewing #27, again at the Vic's "Brew and View." This time, Heidi and Sarz were my co-conspirators. It was a much quieter crowd than last week--in fact, WE were the rowdiest people there! Very little talking, only a couple of people snickering at the slashy bits, and NO laugher at Gandalf's death (thank heavens). Still the loud cheers for Aragorn doing away with Lurtz, and we led the ovation at the sight of Gandalf the White. We were very decadent--Heidi had a beer, I smoked a cigarette, and Sarz said the seating arrangements left her lots of room to use her "body english" during the movie. I've decided Gimli misheard the rumours about Lothlorien--that's an Elf Bitch that's in residence. (Nope, still not a Galadriel fan. Conniving witch...)
